Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Abastio (abastio.com), operated by Abastio, Lda., a company registered in Portugal. By creating an account or using Abastio, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

Abastio is a SaaS platform that helps event organizers manage clients, contractors, events, budgets, and quotes in one place. These Terms apply to all features, including file uploads, PDF generation, and team collaboration.

Your account

To use Abastio, you must create an account with a valid email address and a secure password. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate information during registration
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. One person or entity may not maintain multiple free accounts to bypass plan limits.

Plans and billing

Abastio operates on a freemium model with four tiers:

• Solo (free) — 1 user, 2 active events, 5 contractors. No contract uploads or role management. Free forever, no credit card required.
• Professional, Business, and Agency — paid plans with expanded limits, additional features, and team collaboration. Pricing varies by region and is displayed on our pricing page before purchase.

When you sign up, you receive a 14-day trial of the Professional plan at no cost. After the trial ends, your account reverts to the Solo plan unless you subscribe to a paid plan. No payment information is collected during the trial.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. Annual plans include a discount equivalent to 2 months free. All prices are displayed in your local currency at checkout.

We may adjust pricing for future billing periods. We will notify you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect. You may cancel before the new price applies.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel a paid plan, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

Acceptable use

You may use Abastio for lawful event management purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any illegal activity or to store illegal content
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Upload files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the platform
• Resell or redistribute access to Abastio without written permission
• Interfere with the platform's infrastructure or security measures

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.

Intellectual property

Your data belongs to you. All client information, contractor records, event details, uploaded files, and generated documents that you create in Abastio remain your property. We do not claim any ownership over your content.

The Abastio platform — including its code, design, branding, and documentation — belongs to Abastio, Lda. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform while your account is active and in good standing.

If you submit feedback or feature suggestions, we may use them to improve the platform without obligation to compensate you.

Data and privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under GDPR and LGPD.

Key points:

• We collect only the data necessary to provide the service
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not use cookies for tracking or third-party analytics
• You can export or delete your data at any time
• Files are stored securely on Cloudflare R2 with encryption

As a company based in Portugal, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For users in Brazil, we also comply with the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD).

Service availability

We work to keep Abastio available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance (we will notify you in advance when possible)
• Infrastructure issues with our hosting providers
• Events beyond our control (network outages, natural disasters)

Abastio is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the platform will meet every specific requirement of your business or that it will be error-free at all times. We recommend keeping your own backups of critical business data.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Abastio, Lda. shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data
• Damages arising from your reliance on the platform for business decisions
• Damages caused by third-party services, integrations, or infrastructure providers

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Portuguese or applicable EU law.

Termination

You can cancel your account at any time from your account settings. When you cancel:

• Paid plans remain active until the end of the current billing period
• After cancellation, your account reverts to the Solo (free) plan
• You can request full data deletion by contacting us at [email protected]

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use rules
• Use the platform in a way that harms other users or the service
• Fail to pay for a paid plan after reasonable notice

If we terminate your account, we will give you 30 days to export your data, unless the termination is due to illegal activity or a security threat.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our service, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• For significant changes, we will notify you by email at least 15 days before they take effect
• Continued use of Abastio after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms

If you disagree with the updated Terms, you may cancel your account before they take effect.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the courts of Portugal.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights granted by the laws of your country of residence. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.

If you are a consumer in Brazil, the provisions of the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (CDC) and LGPD apply where they offer greater protection than these Terms.
